Biography:

Kimberly Rubin completed her graduate work in biblical and religious studies at the Harvard Divinity School, with a focus on New Testament and Early Christian History. Her research and studies cover early Christian history in its cultural, religious, and social settings in the Greco-Roman world, Second Temple and post-Temple Judaism and the relationship between Judaism and Christianity, and the archaeology of the eastern Roman Empire. She has participated in several archaeological excavations in Israel and Jordan, and onsite seminars in Greece, Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Jordan, and Turkey. At PSU, she is a Lecturer in Jewish Studies, Religious Studies, and Classics & Ancient Mediterranean Studies, and her courses have included Early Judaism (CAMS/J ST/RL ST 111), New Testament (CAMS/J ST/RL ST 120), and Early Christianity (CAMS/J ST/RL ST 124).
